44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Family and friends were deeply saddened by the
66 untimely passing of Lydia Wilson Musgrave of Cedar Park, who died on
77 January 14, 2008, at the age of 44; and
88 WHEREAS, Ms. Musgrave was a longtime, dedicated employee of
99 the Texas Board of Law Examiners; joining the agency in October
1010 1986, she served a notable 21-year tenure that included work as a
1111 receptionist, licensure analyst, and executive assistant; and
1212 WHEREAS, She ably handled a number of responsibilities
1313 associated with more than 40 Texas bar examinations and over 50,000
1414 Texas law license applicants; she also created and updated many of
1515 the board's online forms, filing tools, rulebooks, and other
1616 important documents; and
1717 WHEREAS, In addition to her career with the state, Ms.
1818 Musgrave was a talented writer and editor; she was known by many for
1919 her generosity of spirit and earned several awards from the State
2020 Employee Charitable Campaign for distinguished service during
2121 annual fund drives; and
2222 WHEREAS, A loving wife and daughter, Lydia Musgrave is deeply
2323 missed, but the memory of her courage, her warmth, and her
2424 indomitable spirit continues to be treasured by all who knew her;
2525 now, therefore, be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2727 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lydia Wilson Musgrave
2828 and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her
2929 husband, Val Musgrave; to her mother, Paula Welch; and to her other
3030 relatives and many friends; and, be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
3333 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lydia
3434 Wilson Musgrave.
