5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Julie |

6 | 6 | | Reisinger Bassett of Round Rock, who died on January 29, 2009; and |
---|
7 | 7 | | WHEREAS, Born in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, she moved with |
---|
8 | 8 | | her family as a young child to Florida, where she grew up in Ft. |
---|
9 | 9 | | Lauderdale; and |
---|
10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Bassett graduated from Florida Atlantic |
---|
11 | 11 | | University and began her career in the high-tech industry working |
---|
12 | 12 | | as an Internet consultant; she was also a contributor to The |
---|
13 | 13 | | Internet Marketing Blackbook, which was published in 1995; and |
---|
14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In 1996, she moved to the Austin area, and the |
---|
15 | 15 | | following year she went to work for Dell Computer as a program |
---|
16 | 16 | | manager; and |
---|
17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Bassett soon became a dynamic member of her |
---|
18 | 18 | | community; she was a longtime member of the Brushy Creek Women's |
---|
19 | 19 | | Association, and she served as secretary of the executive committee |
---|
20 | 20 | | of the Williamson County Republican Women's Club from 2003 to 2005; |
---|
21 | 21 | | admired for her dedication and service, she was elected Republican |
---|
22 | 22 | | precinct chair of Williamson County Precinct No. 331 in 2006; and |
---|
23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, This engaged community servant also played an |
---|
24 | 24 | | important role in the planning of Champion Park in Williamson |
---|
25 | 25 | | County, and in 2004, she was elected to the board of directors of |
---|
26 | 26 | | the Fern Bluff Municipal Utility District; and |
---|
27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, In her personal life, Julie Bassett also met with |
---|
28 | 28 | | great success; she enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her husband, |
---|
29 | 29 | | Ron, and she was blessed with a beloved daughter, Katie; and |
---|
30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her years on this earth, Julie Bassett |
---|
31 | 31 | | devoted herself to her family and her community, and although her |
---|
32 | 32 | | life ended far too soon, memories of her will live forever in the |
---|
33 | 33 | | hearts of all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
---|
34 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
---|
35 | 35 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Julie Reisinger |
---|
36 | 36 | | Bassett and extend sincere condolences to the members of her |
---|
37 | 37 | | family: to her husband, Ron Bassett; to her daughter, Katie |
---|
38 | 38 | | Bassett; to her mother, Joni Reisinger; to her brother, Mike |

39 | 39 | | Reisinger, and his wife, Jill; to her nieces and nephews, Rylee and |

40 | 40 | | Dylan Reisinger and Jeff and Briana Martino; and to her other |
