| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Order of DeMolay Association is widely esteemed |

| 7 | 7 | | for its success in developing leadership and in nurturing good |

| 8 | 8 | | citizenship and patriotism in young men; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Members of the order have included such luminaries |

| 10 | 10 | | as writer John Steinbeck, actor John Wayne, news anchor Walter |

| 11 | 11 | | Cronkite, and astronaut Frank Borman; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, An affiliate, the Texas DeMolay Association |

| 13 | 13 | | periodically sponsors a legislative seminar to educate its members |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in the theory and practice of state government; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This rewarding educational program offers |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | participants across the state a unique opportunity to learn about |

| 17 | 17 | | the legislative process; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, The Texas DeMolay Association is a notable |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | organization that is helping to advance the knowledge of many |

| 20 | 20 | | through its informative legislative seminar; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature, in accordance with the rules and policies of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Committee on House Administration, hereby grant permission to the |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Texas DeMolay Association to use the house chamber on February 20 |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and 21, 2010, provided that the house is not in session. |
