44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Martha
66 Lynn Korioth of Houston, who passed away on March 15, 2009, at the
77 age of 67; and
88 WHEREAS, A native of Longview, Martha Korioth was the
99 daughter of Marcella Lockaby and Frank Hawkins; she worked with the
1010 Spring Branch Independent School District for three decades, and
1111 her career included a notable 25-year tenure as the executive
1212 assistant to the superintendent; and
1313 WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, this esteemed Texan led a
1414 caring and purposeful life, and she will forever hold a treasured
1515 place in the hearts of all those who shared in her love and
1616 friendship; now, therefore, be it
1717 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
1818 Legislature hereby pay special tribute to the life of Martha Lynn
1919 Korioth and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
2020 her husband, Terry Korioth; to her sons, Cary, Jeff, and Kevin
2121 Korioth; to her daughters-in-law, Tricia and Renee Korioth; to her
2222 grandchildren, Krysten, Danielle, Kelsey, Alexis, Connor, and
2323 Carson; to her brother, Ken Hawkins; to her mother-in-law, Billie
2424 Lee Korioth; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it
2525 further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
2828 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
2929 Martha Lynn Korioth.
