| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Jonathon Naranjo of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. |

| 6 | 6 | | 604 in Houston has completed the requirements for attaining the |

| 7 | 7 | | rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special |

| 8 | 8 | | recognition; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Naranjo earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | community; moreover, he is a member of the Order of the Arrow and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | has earned a Four Star Recognition Pin from the God and Country |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | program; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A junior at New Heights Christian Academy, Mr. |

| 18 | 18 | | Naranjo finds time to hold down a part-time job at a local sign |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | company and take an active role with his church's youth group and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | mission outreach program in addition to his scouting activities; |

| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan's dedication to excellence and |

| 23 | 23 | | perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |

| 25 | 25 | | on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Jonathon Naranjo on achieving the |
