44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Jonathon Naranjo of Boy Scouts of America Troop No.
66 604 in Houston has completed the requirements for attaining the
77 rank of Eagle Scout, and this accomplishment truly merits special
88 recognition; and
99 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
1010 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
1111 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
1212 criteria, Mr. Naranjo earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
1313 completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his
1414 community; moreover, he is a member of the Order of the Arrow and
1515 has earned a Four Star Recognition Pin from the God and Country
1616 program; and
1717 WHEREAS, A junior at New Heights Christian Academy, Mr.
1818 Naranjo finds time to hold down a part-time job at a local sign
1919 company and take an active role with his church's youth group and
2020 mission outreach program in addition to his scouting activities;
2121 and
2222 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan's dedication to excellence and
2323 perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to
2424 stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride
2525 on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2626 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2727 Legislature hereby congratulate Jonathon Naranjo on achieving the
2828 rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
2929 continued success and happiness; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Mr. Naranjo as an expression of high regard by the
3232 Texas House of Representatives.
