55 WHEREAS, The retirement of a committed public servant is well
66 deserving of recognition; and
77 WHEREAS, A dedicated and broad-visioned individual, Mr.
88 Joseph Paniagua has shaped the course of public safety and public
99 events in the city of Fort Worth for over 22 years in many
1010 capacities, most recently as first assistant city manager; and
1111 WHEREAS, Because of his leadership, the success of such
1212 important projects as the expansion of the City Convention Center,
1313 construction of a new convention center hotel, the development of
1414 new traffic divisions and fire stations, and the Rosedale District
1515 were successful; and
1616 WHEREAS, Mr. Paniagua's diplomacy and talent for navigating
1717 the waters of state and federal programs are assets that will be
1818 sorely missed; and
1919 WHEREAS, Joe, a native Texan, and his wife, Elsa, have two
2020 children, Jose Francisco and Elissa; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby warmly congratulate Joe Paniagua on the occasion
2323 of his retirement, thank him for his dedicated service, and extend
2424 to him best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2626 prepared for Mr. Paniagua as an expression of high regard by the
2727 Texas House of Representatives.
