| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Terry Kaufman Levinger of Dallas is marking a |

| 6 | 6 | | memorable milestone in her life with the celebration of her 50th |

| 7 | 7 | | birthday on May 29, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1959, Terry |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Levinger graduated from The University of Texas with a degree in |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | business in 1981; she then moved to Dallas, where she worked for |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | many years as a stockbroker and financial advisor for Dean Witter, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Merrill Lynch, and Charles Schwab; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, She married her husband, Jeffrey, in 1987, and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | together they had two children, Jake and Sam; opting to leave her |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | career to raise her sons, this devoted mother has nurtured and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | sustained them with tenderness, insight, and wisdom, and her |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | efforts have produced two fine young men; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, A dedicated volunteer, Mrs. Levinger shares her |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | time with Temple Emanu-El, Kramer Elementary School, Greenhill |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | School, and the National Council of Jewish Women; she can also often |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | be found engaged in a vigorous match on the tennis courts; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Levinger is currently focusing her many |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | talents on developing a new company to provide creative design |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | concepts to individuals and businesses; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of half a century, Terry Levinger |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | has distinguished herself as a successful professional, a dedicated |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | homemaker, and a valued member of her community, and her 50th |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | birthday provides a fitting occasion to recognize this accomplished |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | woman; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
