| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Tony Davila is being honored at Congregation Beth |

| 6 | 6 | | Israel in Austin on April 18, 2009, in recognition of his 18 years |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of admirable service at the temple; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mr. Davila was born |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | in the Central Texas community of Mendoza and grew up with six |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | sisters and five brothers; he later moved to Lockhart, where he and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Mary, his wife of 47 years, have raised six children; today, they |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | also enjoy the love and affection of eight grandchildren and three |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Davila began working at Congregation Beth Israel |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | in July 1991, and he currently serves as senior custodian; |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | throughout his fine tenure, he has proven himself to be an |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | invaluable member of the synagogue's staff; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, With notable dedication and enthusiasm, Tony Davila |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | has long enriched the lives of members of Congregation Beth Israel, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | and he may take justifiable pride in knowing how very much he is |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | appreciated for his efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby honor Tony Davila for his exemplary service to |

| 24 | 24 | | Congregation Beth Israel and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
