55 WHEREAS, The selection for promotion of Chris Ward of the
66 United States Air Force to the rank of major provides a fitting
77 opportunity to recognize his dedication to duty and his
88 contributions to the defense of our nation; and
99 WHEREAS, The son of Mary Rodgers Ward of Granbury and the late
1010 Tommy Franklin Ward, Jr., Chris Ward graduated from Granbury High
1111 School in 1995 and from the Air Force Academy in 2000; he went on to
1212 further his education at Texas A&M University, where he earned a
1313 master's degree in 2008; and
1414 WHEREAS, Captain Ward completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan
1515 and is currently stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base in
1616 Massachusetts with his wife, Mary Jenny Ward, a fellow graduate of
1717 the Air Force Academy; and
1818 WHEREAS, Chris Ward embodies the Air Force ideals of
1919 integrity, service, and excellence, and it is a pleasure to join in
2020 congratulating him on achieving this noteworthy milestone in his
2121 military career; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend U.S. Air Force Captain Chris Ward on the
2424 occasion of his selection for promotion and extend to him sincere
2525 best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for Captain Ward as an expression of high regard by the
2828 Texas House of Representatives.
