44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Austin Browning of Scurry played a crucial role in
66 saving the lives of at least four Texans; and
77 WHEREAS, On July 18, 2007, Austin was at the scene of a
88 terrible accident involving his younger brother, Hunter; the two
99 boys were out on their family's ranch when the incident occurred,
1010 and Austin ran for a mile to get help; although Hunter passed away
1111 the following day, Austin's quick and decisive actions made it
1212 possible for several individuals in need to receive the gift of life
1313 through organ donation; and
1414 WHEREAS, More than 7,000 Texans are currently awaiting organ
1515 donations, and this number continues to grow daily; through his
1616 swift response on that tragic day, Austin Browning ensured that a
1717 number of people were provided the chance for renewed health and a
1818 brighter future; now, therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2020 Legislature hereby honor Austin Browning for his heroism; and, be
2121 it further
2222 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2323 prepared for Austin Browning as an expression of high regard by the
2424 Texas House of Representatives.
