44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Family and friends continue to mourn the loss of
66 Clara F. Santikos of Houston, who died on November 11, 2008, at the
77 age of 93; and
88 WHEREAS, Clara Santikos was born in Patmos, Greece, on July
99 13, 1915; she immigrated to the United States, where she became a
1010 citizen in 1952; and
1111 WHEREAS, Devoted to her family and friends, Mrs. Santikos was
1212 an expert cook and seamstress; she was also skilled at games such as
1313 double nines and King's Corners, and she loved the music of Frank
1414 Sinatra; and
1515 WHEREAS, Clara Santikos lived a full and generous life, and
1616 memories of her will forever endure in the hearts of all those whose
1717 lives she touched; now, therefore, be it
1818 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
1919 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clara F. Santikos and
2020 extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
2121 sisters, Elizabeth Marodis and Billie Callager; to her daughter,
2222 Kiki Santikos; to her sons, John Santikos, George Santikos, Nick
2323 Santikos, and Pete Santikos; to her daughters-in-law, Lucille and
2424 Brenda; to her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;
2525 and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
2828 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clara F.
2929 Santikos.
