5	5	WHEREAS, Family and friends continue to mourn the loss of
6	6	Clara F. Santikos of Houston, who died on November 11, 2008, at the
7	7	age of 93; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Clara Santikos was born in Patmos, Greece, on July
9	9	13, 1915; she immigrated to the United States, where she became a
10	10	citizen in 1952; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Devoted to her family and friends, Mrs. Santikos was
12	12	an expert cook and seamstress; she was also skilled at games such as
13	13	double nines and King's Corners, and she loved the music of Frank
14	14	Sinatra; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Clara Santikos lived a full and generous life, and
16	16	memories of her will forever endure in the hearts of all those whose
17	17	lives she touched; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
19	19	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Clara F. Santikos and
20	20	extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
21	21	sisters, Elizabeth Marodis and Billie Callager; to her daughter,
22	22	Kiki Santikos; to her sons, John Santikos, George Santikos, Nick
23	23	Santikos, and Pete Santikos; to her daughters-in-law, Lucille and
24	24	Brenda; to her nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;
25	25	and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
26	26	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
27	27	prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
28	28	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clara F.
