| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Ryan Austin Kattchee of Boy Scouts of America Troop |

| 6 | 6 | | No. 40 of Houston has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | criteria, Mr. Kattchee earned 28 merit badges and, for his Eagle |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Scout project, rebuilt the dugouts at Seton Catholic Junior High |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | School; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | highest rank that scouting offers; a member of the Order of the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Arrow, he has also earned the Arrow of Light and World Conservation |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Awards; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Kattchee is the son of Phillip and Dianna |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Kattchee; he graduated from St. Thomas High School, where he was a |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | member of the National Honor Society and an Academic All-American, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | as well as a member of the baseball and swim teams; he is currently |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | studying engineering at The University of Texas; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Kattchee's dedication to excellence and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ryan Austin Kattchee on achieving |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
