 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Kaileigh Castillo, a senior at Communications Arts
 High School in San Antonio, has deservedly been named a scholar
 finalist in the 2008-2009 National Hispanic Recognition Program;
 and
 WHEREAS, An initiative of the College Board, the National
 Hispanic Recognition Program honors those Hispanic students who
 score well on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholar Qualifying
 Test and who maintain a satisfactory grade point average; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Gabriel Castillo, this outstanding
 young Texan is a member of the student council and devotes time to
 teaching Sunday school at St. Jude Catholic Church; moreover, she
 is a dedicated student who has a 96.78 grade point average, and she
 plans to further her education at the University of Arizona; and
 WHEREAS, Soon to embark on an exciting new chapter in her
 life, Kaileigh Castillo may indeed reflect with pride on her
 numerous accomplishments and look with anticipation toward a bright
 and promising future; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Kaileigh Castillo on her selection
 as a scholar finalist in the 2008-2009 National Hispanic
 Recognition Program and extend to her sincere best wishes for
 continued success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Castillo as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
