5	5	WHEREAS, Small businesses play a vital role in the economy of
6	6	the Lone Star State by providing employment for Texans, and with the
7	7	assistance of the Small Business Development Center at The
8	8	University of Texas at San Antonio, Sylvia Wolff and Irma Flores of
9	9	San Antonio have expanded their business and retained four jobs;
10	10	and
11	11	WHEREAS, The SBDC helps small businesses grow and prosper in
12	12	the San Antonio area by providing a variety of services to business
13	13	owners, including training, counseling, and referrals; and
14	14	WHEREAS, Ms. Flores and Ms. Wolff are the founders of Custom
15	15	Crush Winery, where customers can create custom wines with
16	16	personalized labels; they have been working with SBDC business
17	17	advisor Patrice McElfresh over the course of several years, and
18	18	they have recently moved the winery to a larger location; and
19	19	WHEREAS, Because it is able to accommodate small social
20	20	gatherings, the new location will draw new customers to the
21	21	business, and with the efforts to improve sales, marketing, and
22	22	management strategies, the business has been able to retain four
23	23	jobs; and
24	24	WHEREAS, The hard work, dedication, and thoughtful
25	25	preparation of Texas entrepreneurs all contribute greatly to the
26	26	prosperity of the state, and Ms. Flores and Ms. Wolff are building a
27	27	foundation of success for themselves and their community; now,
28	28	therefore, be it
29	29	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
30	30	Legislature hereby congratulate Sylvia Wolff and Irma Flores on the
31	31	expansion of Custom Crush Winery and extend to them sincere best
32	32	wishes for continued success in their exciting venture; and, be it
33	33	further
34	34	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
35	35	prepared for Ms. Wolff and Ms. Flores as an expression of high
36	36	regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
