| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Paul and Kay Gilbert of Lubbock |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March 31, |

| 8 | 8 | | 2009; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Paul Gilbert and the former Kay Syring were married |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in 1959 in Levelland, where they made their home for more than 40 |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | years; they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | six children and their spouses, Andy and Nene Gilbert, Diane and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Paul Hale, David and Angie Gilbert, Chris and Ginger Gilbert, |

| 14 | 14 | | Joseph and Carrie Gilbert, and Aaron and Leska Gilbert, as well as |

| 15 | 15 | | 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Lubbock since 2002, this devoted couple |

| 17 | 17 | | have shared five decades of abiding love and affection for one |

| 18 | 18 | | another, and they are among an exceptional group of men and women |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | who can claim such a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Paul and Kay Gilbert on their 50th |
