| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Bobby Kenneth and Margaret Aldridge of |

| 7 | 7 | | Mineola celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | February 14, 2009; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Joined in matrimony in Dallas on Valentine's Day |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 1959, Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge have nurtured a fulfilling marriage |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | through the years; today they delight in their treasured family, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | which includes a son, Barry Aldridge, a daughter, Robin Brand, as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge made their home in Dallas and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | later in Garland while they raised their children; Mr. Aldridge |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | supported the family as a building contractor and after moving to |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | East Texas in 1969, he built custom homes; Mrs. Aldridge was |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | employed as an activity assistant at Country Trails Care Center in |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Grand Saline; both are now retired; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This devoted couple have shared five decades of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | abiding love and mutual affection, and they are among an |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ken and Margaret Aldridge on their |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | continued happiness; and, be it further |
