44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Chief Rick McCoy of the Crane Police Department is
66 retiring on May 31, 2009, after an outstanding career in law
77 enforcement that has spanned more than three decades; and
88 WHEREAS, Since joining the Crane Police Department 25 years
99 ago, Chief McCoy has provided exceptional leadership and set an
1010 outstanding example of professional integrity; throughout his
1111 distinguished tenure, he has exemplified the highest ideals of the
1212 law enforcement profession and contributed immeasurably to the
1313 safety and well-being of his fellow Texans; and
1414 WHEREAS, Chief McCoy and his wife, Pattie, have been valued
1515 residents of the city of Crane; they are leaving the Lone Star State
1616 for Arkansas, and their presence and many contributions will be
1717 deeply missed by their friends and neighbors; and
1818 WHEREAS, The dedicated service of Rick McCoy has greatly
1919 benefited his community, and he may indeed reflect with pride on his
2020 notable accomplishments as he prepares to embark on the next
2121 chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
2222 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2323 Legislature hereby commend Chief Rick McCoy for his years of
2424 service to the Crane Police Department and extend to him sincere
2525 best wishes for the future; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for Chief McCoy as an expression of high regard by the
2828 Texas House of Representatives.
