H.R. No. 1482
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Eulogio
Juan Gomez of Pharr, who died on March 23, 2009, at the age of 76;
and
WHEREAS, Born in Pawnee on September 8, 1932, Mr. Gomez lived
in Pharr for most of his life; he was a member of Iglesia Del Valle
Santa Pentecostes in San Juan; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Gomez shared a rewarding relationship with his
wife, Raquel, and he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather,
and great-grandfather; he had worked for Southern Frozen Foods for
more than 30 years and enjoyed baseball and western movies; and
WHEREAS, Although his death has brought great sorrow to all
who knew him, memories of many happy times spent in his company will
forever be treasured by all who were privileged to share in his love
and friendship; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Eulogio Juan Gomez and
extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife
of 51 years, Raquel P. Gomez; to his daughters, Rachel Cameron and
her husband, John, Belinda Gomez, and Rosana Soto; to his sons,
Eduardo Gomez and his wife, Isabel, Juan Gomez, and Andy Gomez and
his wife, Michelle; and to his 14 grandchildren and 3
great-grandchildren; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eulogio
Juan Gomez.
