| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Eulogio |

| 6 | 6 | | Juan Gomez of Pharr, who died on March 23, 2009, at the age of 76; |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Pawnee on September 8, 1932, Mr. Gomez lived |

| 9 | 9 | | in Pharr for most of his life; he was a member of Iglesia Del Valle |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Santa Pentecostes in San Juan; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Gomez shared a rewarding relationship with his |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | wife, Raquel, and he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and great-grandfather; he had worked for Southern Frozen Foods for |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | more than 30 years and enjoyed baseball and western movies; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Although his death has brought great sorrow to all |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | who knew him, memories of many happy times spent in his company will |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | forever be treasured by all who were privileged to share in his love |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and friendship; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Eulogio Juan Gomez and |

| 21 | 21 | | extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife |

| 22 | 22 | | of 51 years, Raquel P. Gomez; to his daughters, Rachel Cameron and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | her husband, John, Belinda Gomez, and Rosana Soto; to his sons, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Eduardo Gomez and his wife, Isabel, Juan Gomez, and Andy Gomez and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | his wife, Michelle; and to his 14 grandchildren and 3 |
