44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Jessica Alvarado of Girl Scouts of the Rio Grande
66 has attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in Girl
77 Scouting; and
88 WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor,
99 received by only a small fraction of those who are eligible; to
1010 achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet requirements that
1111 promote community service, personal growth, positive values, and
1212 leadership skills; in addition, she must plan and implement a
1313 special Girl Scout Gold Award project that meets a need in her
1414 community; and
1515 WHEREAS, Ms. Alvarado has proven herself to be an exemplary
1616 and productive member of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with
1717 great pride on her commitment to excellence and her perseverance in
1818 the pursuit of her goals; now, therefore, be it
1919 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2020 Legislature hereby congratulate Jessica Alvarado on her receipt of
2121 the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes for the
2222 coming years; and, be it further
2323 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2424 prepared for Ms. Alvarado as an expression of high regard by the
2525 Texas House of Representatives.
