R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jennifer Abrams of Girl Scouts of the Rio Grande has
attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in Girl Scouting;
and
WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor,
received by only a small fraction of those who are eligible; to
achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet requirements that
promote community service, personal growth, positive values, and
leadership skills; in addition, she must plan and implement a
special Girl Scout Gold Award project that meets a need in her
community; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Abrams has proven herself to be an exemplary and
productive member of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with great
pride on her commitment to excellence and her perseverance in the
pursuit of her goals; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Abrams on her receipt of
the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes for the
coming years; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Abrams as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
