5	5	WHEREAS, Jennifer Abrams of Girl Scouts of the Rio Grande has
6	6	attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in Girl Scouting;
7	7	and
8	8	WHEREAS, Receiving the Gold Award is a significant honor,
9	9	received by only a small fraction of those who are eligible; to
10	10	achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet requirements that
11	11	promote community service, personal growth, positive values, and
12	12	leadership skills; in addition, she must plan and implement a
13	13	special Girl Scout Gold Award project that meets a need in her
14	14	community; and
15	15	WHEREAS, Ms. Abrams has proven herself to be an exemplary and
16	16	productive member of the Girl Scouts, and she may reflect with great
17	17	pride on her commitment to excellence and her perseverance in the
18	18	pursuit of her goals; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
20	20	Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Abrams on her receipt of
21	21	the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes for the
22	22	coming years; and, be it further
23	23	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
24	24	prepared for Ms. Abrams as an expression of high regard by the Texas
25	25	House of Representatives.
