H.R. No. 1569
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Corporal Brent Ewing was honored by the Robinson
Police Department in May 2008 for his notable efforts in behalf of
his community; and
WHEREAS, The department hosts an annual awards program to pay
tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated an exemplary
commitment to the city of Robinson; the honorees-everyday citizens
as well as public officers and employees-have reached above and
beyond in serving their fellow residents and the greater community,
and by acknowledging their selfless actions, the Robinson PD is
promoting volunteerism among all of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, During the past year, Corporal Ewing played a
significant role in coordinating the Citizen's Police Academy, the
Shattered Dreams project at Robinson High School, and the
Neighborhood Crime Watch program, and he fittingly received a
Distinguished Service Award for his assistance with these vital
initiatives; and
WHEREAS, With the utmost dedication and concern, Corporal
Ewing has contributed to the public's safety and well-being, and it
is indeed a pleasure to recognize his many worthy endeavors; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Corporal Brent Ewing on his receipt
of a Distinguished Service Award from the Robinson Police
Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Corporal Ewing as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
