 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Jonathan Lietzke of Austin has led a life of
 scholarship and achievement, and he has added to his myriad
 accomplishments through his service at the State Capitol in the
 office of Representative Joseph E. Moody; and
 WHEREAS, "J. J." Lietzke was born on November 24, 1987, to
 Sofia Galan and James Lietzke; he attended Austin High School,
 where he enjoyed and excelled in athletics and academics, and
 following graduation, he went on to pursue a degree in business
 administration at Texas Tech University; he is a leader both on and
 off campus, and his academic achievements have earned him a place on
 the President's List on three occasions as well as on the Dean's
 List; in addition, he is an active member of Alpha Xi Delta of Chi
 Psi fraternity and serves as chair of its committee on risk
 management; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Lietzke's sincerity, compassion, outgoing
 personality, and sense of humor have helped him to take advantage of
 many positive opportunities in his lifetime, including a year of
 study in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, where he made many lifelong
 friends and expanded his understanding of other cultures; he is
 also regarded by some of his acquaintances as a modern-day hero
 whose various chivalrous exploits have included putting himself in
 harm's way to rescue a young lady from being seriously injured in a
 rock slide; and
 WHEREAS, During his tenure as a participant in the Texas
 Legislative Internship Program, Mr. Lietzke has embraced the
 opportunity to learn all he can from the many people he has come to
 know in the course of his daily work; and
 WHEREAS, His skill and knowledge have allowed him to provide
 outstanding service to his employer; he consistently goes above and
 beyond with each of the assignments that he has been given,
 demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commendable sense of
 responsibility; his role in the office has expanded since he joined
 the staff, and he is admired by his coworkers as an insightful
 advisor, a diligent worker, and a trustworthy friend; and
 WHEREAS, A number of people have provided support to Mr.
 Lietzke in the course of his life and have helped him to become the
 person that he is today; in addition to his parents, they include
 Bill and Kelly Wallace, his fifth-grade teacher, Robert Cash, his
 high school soccer coach, Daryl Faulks, the president of Alpha Xi
 Delta of Chi Psi, Sergeant Kyle Green of the United States Marine
 Corps, and Samantha McFarland; and
 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has skillfully handled
 the challenges of serving in a busy office during the legislative
 session, and he may indeed look forward with anticipation and
 optimism toward a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby honor Jonathan "J. J." Lietzke for his
 outstanding work as an intern in the office of Representative
 Joseph E. Moody and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
 success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Lietzke as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
