 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Candance L. Hawks of Belton has been reappointed to
 the Texas Special Education Continuing Advisory Committee by
 Governor Rick Perry; and
 WHEREAS, An advisory panel to the Texas Education Agency, the
 CAC provides guidance on public policy concerning special education
 and services for children with disabilities; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Hawks earned her bachelor's and master's degrees
 in counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor; she works
 as special education coordinator for the Belton Independent School
 District, and she is a member of the BISD Career and Technology
 Committee and the BISD Parent Advisory Committee; and
 WHEREAS, This distinguished professional is also a member of
 the Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education, the Texas
 Counseling Association, and the Texas Association for Assessment in
 Counseling; and
 WHEREAS, Citizen advisors to state agencies play a vital role
 in the creation of public policy, and Ms. Hawks may indeed take
 great pride in her contribution to the welfare of the students of
 Texas; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Candance L. Hawks on her
 reappointment to the Texas Special Education Continuing Advisory
 Committee and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
 success in her important work; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Hawks as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
