| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Larry R. Montgomery of Belton has been appointed |

| 6 | 6 | | to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Governor Rick Perry |

| 7 | 7 | | for a term that expires in 2015; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners promotes, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | preserves, and protects the health of the citizens of Texas by |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | overseeing the licensing, practices, and facilities of Texas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | chiropractors; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Montgomery attended Central Texas College and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | San Jacinto College, and he earned his degree from Texas |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Chiropractic College in 1981; he is the president and clinic |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | director of Montgomery Chiropractic in Belton; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, This distinguished Texan is also active in his |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | profession as a member of the Texas Chiropractic Association, the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | American Academy of Pain Management, and the American Chiropractic |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Association Council on Orthopedics; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Texas Board of Chiropractic |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Examiners play a vital role in the oversight of health care |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | services, and Dr. Larry Montgomery may indeed take great pride in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | his contribution to the well-being and safety of the citizens of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Texas; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Larry R. Montgomery on his |

| 27 | 27 | | appointment to the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners and extend |
