H.R. No. 1718 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Daniel Cano has retired from the U.S. Air Force, bringing to a close a distinguished military career that spanned two decades; and WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Cano joined the air force after graduating from Coronado High School in El Paso in 1988; he later earned an associate's degree from the Community College of the Air Force; and WHEREAS, This experienced command and control specialist conducted aerospace, search and rescue, and special access operations worldwide; before retiring, he was a special technical operations supervisor with the Special Operations Command South at Homestead Air Reserve Base in Florida; and WHEREAS, Master Sergeant Cano has garnered a number of military decorations and awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, to name but a few; and WHEREAS, Daniel Cano has proven himself an exemplary leader who has won widespread respect and made an admirable contribution to the defense of his nation, and his retirement provides a fitting opportunity to honor him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Master Sergeant Daniel Cano on the occasion of his retirement from the U.S. Air Force and extend to him best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Master Sergeant Cano as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
