No. 1721 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Ricardo Estrada of El Paso, who died on March 9, 2009, at the age of 62; and WHEREAS, Dicky Estrada was born on December 4, 1946, to Frank and Alicia Estrada; he met his lifetime companion, Roberta, in high school, and they were married three years after graduation; over the course of their 40 years together, they were blessed with two sons; and WHEREAS, Mr. Estrada went to work at the age of 16, bagging groceries at the S&S Store in Fabens and working as a delivery man for Munier's Pharmacy; he later enjoyed a 40-year career with the Clint Independent School District; along the way, he also answered his nation's call to duty during the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force; and WHEREAS, A kind and caring man, Dicky Estrada touched the lives of many, and he will be forever remembered with admiration and affection by all who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ricardo Estrada and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his wife, Roberta Estrada; to his sons, Dominick E. Estrada and his wife, Saharon, and Patrick I. Estrada; to his siblings, Josephina, Mary, and Lucy Estrada, Frank Estrada III, Alicia Smith and her husband, Bob, and Rebecca Quinn and her husband, Bill; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dicky Estrada.
