| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Kevin James Needles of Boy Scouts of America Venture |

| 6 | 6 | | Crew 17 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and |

| 7 | 7 | | this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | criteria, Mr. Needles earned the requisite 21 merit badges, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | including those that require expertise in such diverse areas as |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | electricity, medicine, and photography, and successfully completed |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The son of Jeffrey and Susan Joanne Needles, this |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | scouting offers; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, His dedication to excellence and perseverance in the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | pursuit of his goals have proven Eagle Scout Needles worthy to stand |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Kevin James Needles on achieving |

| 26 | 26 | | the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
