5	5	WHEREAS, The family and friends of Waco resident Lorenza
6	6	Garcia were deeply saddened by the passing of this esteemed woman on
7	7	February 28, 2008, at the age of 100; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Born on June 13, 1907, Mrs. Garcia was a native of
9	9	Mexico; one of 11 children, she grew up in the Lone Star State,
10	10	living in San Marcos before moving to Waco; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Mrs. Garcia found great joy in her treasured family;
12	12	generous and kind, she cared for her mother, who was also blessed
13	13	with a long life, until her mother's death at the age of 112; and
14	14	WHEREAS, This compassionate woman enriched the lives of many
15	15	during her journey on this earth, and memories of her will be
16	16	forever cherished by those who were privileged to share in the
17	17	warmth of her affection and friendship; now, therefore, be it
18	18	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
19	19	Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lorenza Garcia and
20	20	extend sincere sympathy to her loved ones; and, be it further
21	21	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
22	22	prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
23	23	Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lorenza
24	24	Garcia.
