| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Lane and Mary Stecher of Waco |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on June 6, 2008; |

| 8 | 8 | | and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Lane Stecher and the former Mary Lucile White were |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | joined in matrimony in 1948 at a ceremony held in Cameron; through |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | includes their children, Robert Stecher and his wife, Grace, and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Deborah Gregory and her husband, Steven, as well as grandchildren, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Michael Stecher and his wife, Linda, and Shalee Kinser, a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | great-grandson, Payton, and four step-great-grandchildren, Debra, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Elizabeth, Keegan, and Chris; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Stecher is |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | retired from the VA Medical Center and Mrs. Stecher is currently |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | employed at Wal-Mart; in addition to meeting their career and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | family responsibilities, they have been valued members of a number |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | of veterans organizations, including Veterans of Foreign Wars and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | the American Legion, and of the Porcelain Art Guild; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stecher have enjoyed six decades of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Lane and Mary Stecher on their 60th |

| 29 | 29 | | wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
