| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, L. A. and Marie Rager of Moody celebrated their 60th |

| 6 | 6 | | wedding anniversary on January 17, 2008, and they may indeed |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, L. A. Rager and the former Marie Young exchanged the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | vows of matrimony on that day in 1948 in Waco, and over the course of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | their marriage, they have found in one another a loving life |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | partner; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | that includes four daughters, Kathy Foit and her husband, Ronny, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Debbie Spivey and her husband, Bill, Lorrie Clearman, and Sherry |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | McDowell and her husband, Fred, as well as a son, Bud Rager; Mr. and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Mrs. Rager also share the many special occasions of life with their |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Moody since 2001, Mr. and Mrs. Rager |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | operated three businesses in Waco before retiring in 1985; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, For six decades, L. A. and Marie Rager have brought |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate L. A. and Marie Rager on their 60th |
