| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Harry and Sue Ferrell of Lorena |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | celebrated the remarkable occasion of their 70th wedding |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | anniversary on July 29, 2008; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Ferrell were united in matrimony on |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | that memorable day in 1938; through the years, they have nurtured a |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer as their family |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | has grown to include their sons, Michael Ferrell and Billy Ferrell |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | and his wife, Linda, as well as their four grandchildren, Cameron, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Carrie, Amy, and Mark, and five great-grandchildren, Coty, Hunter, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Hailey, Connor, and Caiden; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Ferrell retired from Exxon Pipeline Company |

| 17 | 17 | | after nearly four decades of outstanding service, while Mrs. |

| 18 | 18 | | Ferrell has been a homemaker throughout the couple's marriage; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | valued members of their community, the Ferrells are congregants of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Brazos Meadows Baptist Church; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past 70 |

| 22 | 22 | | years, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant in |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love has |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with grace |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 27 | 27 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to Harry and Sue Ferrell and extend |

| 28 | 28 | | to them sincere congratulations on their 70th wedding anniversary; |
