H.R. No. 1883
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Patrick and Patricia Stroman celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on February 15, 2008, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Patrick Stroman and the former Patricia Ann
Hutcherson exchanged the vows of matrimony at First Baptist Church
in Lubbock in 1958, and over the course of their marriage, they have
found in one another a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Stroman is retired from pharmaceutical sales and
enjoys working on his family farm in Sweetwater, and Mrs. Stroman
retired as secretary to the United Methodist district office; the
couple are active members at Central United Methodist Church; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stroman count among their blessings a
fine family that includes three daughters, Johanna Nystrom, Cheryl
Martin, and Stacy Erb, as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan,
Whitney, Bobby, Patrick, Marissa, Drew, and Jake, with whom they
share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Patrick and Patricia Stroman
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Patrick and Patricia Stroman on
their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stroman as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
