| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, James and Jean Vorderkunz of Robinson celebrated |

| 6 | 6 | | their 50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2009, and they may |

| 7 | 7 | | indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | shared; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, James Vorderkunz and the former Jean Goodwin |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | exchanged the vows of matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | on that special day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz, who are charter members of |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the Peace Lutheran Church of Hewitt, count among their blessings a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | fine family that includes their children, Glyn Vorderkunz and his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | wife, Debra, Lisa Houle and her husband, Steve, and Mike Vorderkunz |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and his wife, Robin, as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Katherine, Christopher, Kristin, Michael, and Carolyn, and a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | great-grandson, Aiden, with whom they share the many special |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | occasions of life; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Jean Vorderkunz have |

| 22 | 22 | | brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
