44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, James and Jean Vorderkunz of Robinson celebrated
66 their 50th wedding anniversary on February 7, 2009, and they may
77 indeed reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have
88 shared; and
99 WHEREAS, James Vorderkunz and the former Jean Goodwin
1010 exchanged the vows of matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waco
1111 on that special day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage,
1212 they have found in each other a loving life partner; and
1313 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz, who are charter members of
1414 the Peace Lutheran Church of Hewitt, count among their blessings a
1515 fine family that includes their children, Glyn Vorderkunz and his
1616 wife, Debra, Lisa Houle and her husband, Steve, and Mike Vorderkunz
1717 and his wife, Robin, as well as seven grandchildren, Ryan, Katelyn,
1818 Katherine, Christopher, Kristin, Michael, and Carolyn, and a
1919 great-grandson, Aiden, with whom they share the many special
2020 occasions of life; and
2121 WHEREAS, For half a century, James and Jean Vorderkunz have
2222 brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
2323 is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
2424 therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2626 Legislature hereby congratulate James and Jean Vorderkunz on
2727 reaching the noteworthy milestone of their golden wedding
2828 anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
2929 happiness; and, be it further
3030 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3131 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Vorderkunz as an expression of high regard
3232 by the Texas House of Representatives.
