H.R. No. 1889 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love and shared experiences, and Joe and Linda Gough celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on June 29, 2008; and WHEREAS, Joe Gough and the former Linda Corroone were joined in matrimony in 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes their children, Robert Gough and his wife, Diane, Richard Gough and his wife, Cindy, and Teresa Raney and her husband, Dalton, as well as 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Riley, Ricky, Ansley, Austin, Aubrie, Scott, Shane, Kristi, Randall, Clint, Collin, and Casie; and WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Gough worked in Waco ISD for 38 years and retired as principal of St. Mary's School in West, and Mrs. Gough devoted her time to raising her family while her children were young and is a retired schoolteacher; the couple are valued members of St. Jerome Catholic Church, and Mr. Gough serves as an officer of Waco-McLennan County Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Knights of Columbus; and WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Gough have enjoyed five decades of abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting commitment; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Joe and Linda Gough on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gough as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
