 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Brandeis High School JROTC drill teams have
 distinguished themselves through their exceptional performances
 during the 2008-2009 school year; and
 WHEREAS, Finishing their inaugural season with a notable 23
 varsity trophies, the teams placed third overall in the Air Force
 Western National Drill Championships; moreover, the Blue Aces
 Unarmed Drill Team, commanded by Cadet Dawn Naville, became the
 2009 Air Force JROTC Varsity Unarmed State Champions in its first
 season; and
 WHEREAS, The Blue Aces earned a perfect score in inspection
 and Cadet Naville was awarded first place in the commander
 category; also placing first in inspection was the Nighthawks Armed
 Drill Team, led by Cadet Alex Zavala, while the lady Broncos
 finished second in exhibition, and the Color Guard Team, under the
 direction of Cadet Cambrey Sullivan, scored third place in color
 guard drill; and
 WHEREAS, The outstanding young men and women of the Brandeis
 High School JROTC drill teams have demonstrated the importance of
 hard work and dedication in building an accomplished program; they
 are a source of pride to their school and community, and it is
 fitting to take this opportunity to recognize them; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Brandeis High School JROTC
 drill teams on their achievements during the 2008-2009 school year
 and extend to all participants sincere best wishes for continued
 success; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the groups as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
