H.R. No. 1901 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to commend Mark Joseph Trevino on his graduation from the medical school of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in May of 2009; and WHEREAS, Mr. Trevino's outstanding record of academic excellence at one of the top 50 medical schools in the nation has earned him a place in the prestigious residency program of the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta; and WHEREAS, Born in Lubbock in 1980, Mr. Trevino attended The University of Texas, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Silver Spurs; he graduated in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in business administration; and WHEREAS, This committed and hardworking student went on to win a place at the UT Health Science Center, where he took an active role in such organizations as MED and the Student Intercouncil; and WHEREAS, The son of Dr. Joe Trevino and Julie Shepard, he has greatly benefited from the love and support of his wife, Amy Ehlert Trevino; throughout his studies, he has still found time in his busy schedule to pursue such varied interests as fishing, golfing, and hunting; and WHEREAS, A remarkable young man of extraordinary talent, Mark Trevino possesses the intelligence, energy, and determination to succeed in a demanding profession, and in the years ahead, his patients and their families will no doubt benefit immeasurably from his skill and commitment; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Joseph Trevino on his graduation from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Trevino as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
