| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | commend Mark Joseph Trevino on his graduation from the medical |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | school of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | in May of 2009; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Trevino's outstanding record of academic |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | excellence at one of the top 50 medical schools in the nation has |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | earned him a place in the prestigious residency program of the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Medical College of Georgia in Augusta; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Born in Lubbock in 1980, Mr. Trevino attended The |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | University of Texas, where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | fraternity and the Silver Spurs; he graduated in 2004 with a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | bachelor's degree in business administration; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, This committed and hardworking student went on to |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | win a place at the UT Health Science Center, where he took an active |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | role in such organizations as MED and the Student Intercouncil; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The son of Dr. Joe Trevino and Julie Shepard, he has |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | greatly benefited from the love and support of his wife, Amy Ehlert |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Trevino; throughout his studies, he has still found time in his busy |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | schedule to pursue such varied interests as fishing, golfing, and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | hunting; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, A remarkable young man of extraordinary talent, Mark |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | Trevino possesses the intelligence, energy, and determination to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | succeed in a demanding profession, and in the years ahead, his |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | patients and their families will no doubt benefit immeasurably from |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | his skill and commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Joseph Trevino on his |

| 32 | 32 | | graduation from The University of Texas Health Science Center at |

| 33 | 33 | | Houston and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success |
