R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Riverside Dental Center in Waco marked the first
anniversary of its beneficial partnership with the City of Waco and
area health agencies on October 2, 2008; and
WHEREAS, This collaborative effort promotes oral health care
by providing examinations, evaluations, and treatment for area
residents who lack these services; it is supported by the resources
of the Waco-McLennan County Public Health District and the Heart of
Texas Community Health Center in addition to those of the city, with
treatment being provided by Riverside's accomplished
professionals; and
WHEREAS, Comprehensive dental care is an important component
of overall health, and this proactive program is making a positive
difference in the lives of numerous Central Texas residents; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate the Riverside Dental Center on its
partnership with the City of Waco, the Waco-McLennan County Public
Health District, and the Heart of Texas Community Health Center and
extend to all those involved in this helpful initiative sincere
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Riverside Dental Center as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
