| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Citizens of Carrollton have greatly benefited from |

| 6 | 6 | | the dedicated leadership of Tim Hayden, who will complete his term |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | on the city council in May 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure in municipal government, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Councilman Hayden has ably guided the city with an eye to the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | future, and his expertise in a range of community issues has earned |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | him widespread respect; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Carrollton for 12 years, Councilman |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Hayden has further given back to his community through his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | contributions to Regional Emergency Management, the Planning |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Council of the North Central Texas Council of Governments, the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Audit and Finance Committee, and the Metrocrest Hospital Authority, |

| 17 | 17 | | which he has served as a liaison; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | of Tim Hayden have helped to make Carrollton a better place in which |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby honor Tim Hayden for his committed public |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
