| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Citizens of Carrollton have greatly benefited from |

| 6 | 6 | | the dedicated leadership of Larry Williams, who will complete his |

| 7 | 7 | | term on the city council in May 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, During his tenure in municipal government, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Councilman Williams has ably guided the city with an eye to the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | future, and his expertise in a range of community issues has earned |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | him widespread respect; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, A valued resident of Carrollton for 25 years, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Councilman Williams graduated from Southern Nazarene University |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and currently is associate superintendent for facility and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | construction with Lewisville ISD; this certified school business |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | official shares his time with a number of professional |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | organizations, including the Texas Association of School Business |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Officials, Association of School Business Officials International, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and Council of Educational Facility Planners International; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, He further gives back to his community through his |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | contributions on the Judicial Committee, the Transit-Oriented |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Development Committee, and the Metrocrest Medical Foundation |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Board; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | of Larry Williams have helped to make Carrollton a better place in |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby honor Larry Williams for his committed public |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
