5	5	WHEREAS, Rich Tillman of Brazoria County has earned the
6	6	Community Builder Award from St. John's Masonic Lodge of West
7	7	Columbia; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Created by the Grand Lodge of Texas in 1991, the
9	9	Community Builder Award recognizes non-Masons who have
10	10	distinguished themselves through exceptional service to the
11	11	community; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Mr. Tillman has served as Marine Agent with the
13	13	Texas AgriLife Extension Service for more than a quarter-century,
14	14	including 13 years in Aransas and San Patricio Counties and 13 years
15	15	in Brazoria County; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Dedicated to introducing children to the wonders of
17	17	nature and the natural resources that abound on the Gulf Coast, Mr.
18	18	Tillman has made a positive difference in thousands of young lives;
19	19	in addition to his work with the Something's Fishy program, which
20	20	teaches fourth graders about marine life, he hosts trips to the
21	21	Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge for more than 3,000 students each
22	22	year through a program with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service; and
23	23	WHEREAS, Mr. Tillman has shared his time with local 4-H
24	24	programs, and he has contributed to the success of many of its
25	25	participants; his efforts have also inspired many adults to
26	26	volunteer their services, and he has helped train more than 100
27	27	Texas Master Naturalist Volunteers in Brazoria County through a
28	28	program offered by Texas A&M University and the Texas Parks and
29	29	Wildlife Department; and
30	30	WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their
31	31	talents with others are indeed deserving of our profound admiration
32	32	and gratitude, and it is a pleasure to honor Rich Tillman, who has
33	33	enriched the lives of countless individuals with his legacy of
34	34	community involvement; now, therefore, be it
35	35	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
36	36	Legislature hereby congratulate Rich Tillman on earning the
37	37	Community Builder Award from St. John's Masonic Lodge and extend to
38	38	him sincere best wishes for continued success with his important
39	39	work; and, be it further
40	40	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
41	41	prepared for Mr. Tillman as an expression of high regard by the
42	42	Texas House of Representatives.
