44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Rai'Shonna Catrice Powell of Girl Scouts of San
66 Jacinto has attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in
77 Girl Scouting; and
88 WHEREAS, To achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet
99 requirements that promote community service, personal growth,
1010 positive values, and leadership skills; in addition, she must plan
1111 and implement a special Girl Scout Gold Award project of at least 50
1212 work hours that meets a need in her community; and
1313 WHEREAS, Ms. Powell has proven herself to be an exemplary and
1414 productive member of the Girl Scouts and her community, and she may
1515 reflect with great pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
1616 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
1717 Legislature hereby congratulate Rai'Shonna Catrice Powell on her
1818 receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes
1919 for the coming years; and, be it further
2020 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2121 prepared for Ms. Powell as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2222 House of Representatives.
