| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Rai'Shonna Catrice Powell of Girl Scouts of San |

| 6 | 6 | | Jacinto has attained the Gold Award, the highest commendation in |

| 7 | 7 | | Girl Scouting; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, To achieve this distinction, a young woman must meet |

| 9 | 9 | | requirements that promote community service, personal growth, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | positive values, and leadership skills; in addition, she must plan |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and implement a special Girl Scout Gold Award project of at least 50 |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | work hours that meets a need in her community; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Powell has proven herself to be an exemplary and |

| 14 | 14 | | productive member of the Girl Scouts and her community, and she may |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | reflect with great pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 16 | 16 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 17 | 17 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Rai'Shonna Catrice Powell on her |

| 18 | 18 | | receipt of the Girl Scout Gold Award and extend to her best wishes |
