H.R. No. 1975
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Michelle DuFrane was recognized for her outstanding
academic achievements at the Awards of Excellence Dinner hosted by
the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Education Foundation on March 12, 2009;
and
WHEREAS, This annual event pays tribute to exemplary high
school seniors in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School
District and reflects the strong support that the community
provides to public education; local business and civic leaders
sponsor each of the honorees, and each student, in turn,
acknowledges a faculty mentor who has been instrumental in the
student's endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A member of the Class of 2009 at L. D. Bell High
School, Michelle DuFrane received an Award of Excellence that
acknowledged her work in choir, and she was presented with a medal
that will serve as an enduring symbol of her accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, By demonstrating admirable determination and by
taking full advantage of the caring support provided by her
school's educators, Michelle DuFrane has built a strong foundation
for future success, and she may take justifiable pride in a job well
done as she looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that
lie ahead; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Michelle DuFrane on her receipt of
a 2009 Award of Excellence from the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Education
Foundation and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
achievement; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. DuFrane as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
