| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, April 18, 2009, marked the 60th wedding anniversary |

| 6 | 6 | | of Louis and Gertrude Bevacqua of Midland, and this joyous event |

| 7 | 7 | | provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | journey together as husband and wife; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Louis Bevacqua and the former Gertrude Bjornson were |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | joined in matrimony in 1949, at a ceremony held at Sacred Heart |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Cathedral in Dallas; through the years, they have been blessed with |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | a treasured family that includes four children, Lucretia Bevacqua, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Louis Bevacqua, Jr., Anna Brewer, and Tony Bevacqua, and two |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Before moving to Midland in 1970, the couple lived |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | in Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Dallas, and Amarillo; |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | now retired, Mr. Bevacqua was a petroleum geologist and Mrs. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Bevacqua was a registered nurse; they are members of St. Ann's |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Catholic Church; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, The 60 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Bevacqua |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | know them; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Louis and Gertrude Bevacqua on |

| 26 | 26 | | their 60th anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
