H.R. No. 2032
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, April 30, 2009, marked the golden wedding
anniversary of Al and Dee Stover of Emory, and this joyous event
provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable
journey together as husband and wife; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Stover were joined in matrimony in
1959, at a ceremony held in Coal Fork, West Virginia; through the
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes
three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren;
and
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, they moved to
Emory in 1987, following a visit to friends that resulted in an
instant love of the city; and
WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Stover
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who
know them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Al and Dee Stover on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stover as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
