R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Avery Garcia was named Miss Pre-Teen Edinburg 2009,
and this notable young Texan is truly a source of pride to her
family and friends; and
WHEREAS, To win this honor, Avery received exceptional
ratings by the judges for the poise and confidence she demonstrated
in the pageant's personal interview and formal gown presentation
categories; and
WHEREAS, A student at Canterbury Elementary School, Avery
sings with the choir and participates in UIL Art Smart and
Destination ImagiNation activities; the fifth grader is also a team
member at Jing's Gymnastics and Dance Center; and
WHEREAS, Avery Garcia's talent and determination are sure to
serve her well in the years ahead, and she may look forward to a
bright and promising future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Avery Garcia on her selection as
Miss Pre-Teen Edinburg 2009 and extend to her sincere best wishes
for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Garcia as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
