55 WHEREAS, Jacob Allen Hammack of Boy Scouts of America Troop
66 No. 395 in Austin has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
77 accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
88 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
99 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
1010 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
1111 criteria, Mr. Hammack earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
1212 successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
1313 community, constructing three sets of bleachers behind a baseball
1414 field at Marbridge Ranch, a residential care and recreation
1515 facility for adults with cognitive challenges; and
1616 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding
1717 leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the
1818 respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the
1919 highest rank that scouting offers; he is a member of Oak Hill United
2020 Methodist Church and a third-generation Eagle Scout; and
2121 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Hammack's dedication to excellence and
2222 his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
2323 to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
2424 pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2525 RESOLVED, That Jacob Allen Hammack be congratulated on
2626 achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and that he be extended sincere
2727 best wishes for continued success and happiness.
