| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the untimely death |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | of Robert Lee Clark, Jr., of Streetman, who died on April 9, 2009, |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | at the age of 45; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Bob Clark was born in Corsicana on November 22, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1963, to Robert Lee Clark, Sr., and Lanelle Robinson Clark; as an |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | adult, he was employed in construction in the petroleum industry; |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, For two decades, this esteemed Texan was a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | firefighter for the Streetman Volunteer Fire Department, and for |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | the past 12 years, he distinguished himself as the department's |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | chief, earning the respect and affection of his fellow |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | firefighters; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Chief Clark was an admired member of his community, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | where he took an active role in the annual Streetman Homecoming; |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | known to many as "Santa Bob," he also played Santa Claus for area |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | children every Christmas; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Despite his myriad responsibilities, Chief Clark |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | always found time in his busy schedule to make model airplanes, play |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | horseshoes, and spend time with his friends and family, including |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | his beloved grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Bob Clark worked selflessly in behalf of his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | community, and he enjoyed a life that was rich in the intangibles |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | that matter most; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Robert Lee Clark, |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Jr., and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | his wife, Cheryl Clark; to his children, Patrick Westover and his |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | wife, Jessica, William Westover and his wife, Ann, Colton Smith, |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Ian Burns, and Heather Davis; to his grandchildren, Joshua and |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | Christopher Westover; to his brother, Jerry Beamon; and to his |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | other relatives and many friends; and, be it further |

| 36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
